MB.BS , FACEM, FACRRM, Clinical Diploma, Palliative Medicine Louis Christie has been working in rural medicine since 1994. He was appointed to Orange Health Service as an emergency physician and retrieval specialist in 2001 and continued his interest in critical care medicine until 2010. He was appointed as emergency department Medical Director in 2003, and then Orange Health Service Director of Medical Services in 2006; in which capacity he helped coordinate the development and transition to the new Orange Health Service on Bloomfield campus. In 2011 Louis commenced fractional work with the palliative care service, whilst he obtained his clinical diploma and completed his fellowship in general practice in 2014. Since then, he has worked as the palliative care service Senior Medical Officer. Louis has a strong interest in medical teaching, mentorship and professional development. He held appointments with the NSW Postgraduate Medical Council, the NSW Institute of Medical Education and Training, and is a peer reviewer for the Health Care Complaints Commission.
