Associate Professor Rachel Rossiter is an experienced academic and researcher. She is passionate about addressing the health inequities impacting on our rural and remote communities and thus, her focus has included building health professional capacity for advanced practice and research in a range of different contexts.  Her work is informed by clinical experiences across several decades, including primary health care in Madagascar and the Solomon Islands and clinical, teaching and research experience in public health, primary health care and mental health settings in urban and rural areas of NSW. Research activities in Australia, Thailand, Egypt, East Africa, and the UAE have incorporated capacity building activities in cross-cultural settings, health promotion and early intervention, mental health literacy and mental health workforce development. Rachel has joined the Research team with the School of Rural Medicine to support research capacity building activities.
