Dr Desmond is an unaccredited ophthalmology registrar with a passion for teaching. Dr Desmond became an optometrist after finishing his Optometry degree. He worked as an optometrist for four years, doing both primary optometry and teaching optometry students at the undergraduate level.

He wanted to concentrate more on clinical practice, so he decided to pursue a career in ophthalmology. He went on to attend medical school at Sydney University and completed an internship at Nepean Hospital, followed by residencies at Prince of Wales Hospital and Sydney Eye Hospital.

Dr Desmond is currently on track to submit his dissertation for a Master of Medicine degree this year. With a wealth of experience in general medicine and ophthalmology, Dr Desmond is excited to share their knowledge and expertise with medical students in their PBLs.
