Profile

Jake studied medicine at the University of Sydney, graduating in 2012. He first moved to Orange in 2011 as a medical student before completing his internship and residency at Orange Health Service.

He then relocated to Sydney and completed physician training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital before undertaking specialty training in Infectious Diseases at Liverpool, Prince of Wales, and St George hospitals. He has also completed a Masters of Public Health and Tropical Medicine through James Cook University.

Jake is passionate about clinical research in a rural setting and published in a variety of his interest areas including the sociocultural aspects of antimicrobial stewardship and blood-borne virus infection in marginalised groups. He returned to Orange in early 2020 where he is now a staff specialist in Infectious Diseases and General Medicine at Orange Health Service as well as the 1st year co-ordinator of the WSU / CSU Joint Program in Medicine.
