BMedSc(Path) Robyn has a Bachelor of Medical Science (Pathology) with distinctions from Charles Sturt University. Robyn has over 25 years of experience working in Pathology. She began her career working for Barratt and Smith Pathology (now DHM) and afterwards travelled to the United Kingdom where she worked in Haematology, Coagulation and Transfusion labs for three years, qualifying as a Practitioner of Biomedical Science with the Institute of Biomedical Science (UK). She then worked for 20 years with NSW Health Pathology. Robyn has been working as a casual academic for CSU since 2019 before joining CSU as Lecturer in Haematology in 2022.Robyn is a full member of AIMS and is the current chairperson of the SW Division sub-branch committee. Robyn is passionate about passing on her extensive knowledge and practical experience in medical laboratory science to the next generation of Medical Scientists. Her teaching style is student centered and she thrives on linking theoretical knowledge to practical laboratory skills. Robyn has extensive industry contacts which are of great benefit to students undertaking their clinical placement subjects. Robyn is currently undertaking a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education to build on her already well received teaching practices.Medical Science and Pathology
