Clare is lecturer in Medical Imaging. Originally from the UK, Clare graduated from Kingston University with a degree in Diagnostic Radiography (Hons) and worked in a major London trauma centre before migrating to Australia in 1997. Clare worked in both metropolitan and regional sites, specialising in CT.

Clare joined Charles Sturt in 2019 and is based at the Wagga campus teaching CT practice and supporting colleagues in a variety of subjects. Clare has completed her Masters of Medical Imaging, a graduate certificate of clinical education and the Graduate Certificate of Learning and Teaching in Higher Education.

Clare uses evidence informed teaching strategies to create a safe and engaging learning environment.  She likes to share her passion for radiography by providing active learning for students through hands on experience and narrative through story telling. Clare’s interests in teaching are around CT, patient journey and safety.

Research interests includes wide range of topics including academic integrity, document forensics contrast safety, and CT education.  Outside of radiography, collaborative projects include creating a community of practice for interprofessional students and CT scanning of historical artefacts for non-destructive assessment.
