Dr. Jahan is a dedicated educator and researcher at Charles Sturt University, contributing to teaching across multiple schools. She has built a diverse academic career spanning Australia and Bangladesh, progressing from Lecturer to Assistant Professor in Bangladesh and currently serving as a Lecturer in Medical Sciences. Her experience includes teaching, postdoctoral research, and student support, including tutoring in Indigenous programs. She has consistently contributed to curriculum delivery, research advancement, and student development, demonstrating a strong commitment to academic excellence and capacity building.

Dr. Jahan has developed a solid research profile through her PhD and postdoctoral work, resulting in Q1 publications in human and animal health. She actively supports student supervision and mentoring and possesses advanced molecular and laboratory expertise. Known for her collaborative and proactive approach, she effectively engages in multidisciplinary research and project leadership, reflecting a well-rounded academic profile in teaching, research, teamwork, and leadership.

Dr. Jahan is an accomplished academic with over 14 years of teaching experience across Charles Sturt University (CSU) and leading institutions in Bangladesh. She is currently engaged in teaching Pathophysiology, Molecular Cell Biology, Human Genetics, and Microbiology, delivering both theoretical content and practical training within medical science programs.

She achieved high-level teaching performance through a structured and systematic approach encompassing planning, delivery, assessment, and student engagement. Her teaching delivery emphasises interactive methods, using diverse tools and continuous feedback to enhance inclusivity and engagement. She employs varied assessment strategies tailored to learning outcomes, promoting critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Central to her approach is building strong, supportive relationships with students, fostering an inclusive, student-centred learning environment that adapts to diverse needs and enhances overall academic success.

Dr. Jahan’s research interests centre on medical sciences, with a strong focus on human and animal health. She is particularly interested in molecular biology and translational research. Her PhD and postdoctoral work have contributed to advancing knowledge in these areas, resulting in high-quality publications. She applies advanced molecular and laboratory techniques to investigate disease mechanisms and improve health outcomes. Moving forward, she aims to expand her multidisciplinary research collaborations and contribute to impactful, evidence-based solutions in health science.

She is the recipient of Charles Sturt University Tri faculty Researcher Development grant, 2025 and running the project titled “Quantification of phenolic compounds and profiling their antioxidant activity in several variety of black, white and red sorghum grains using UHPLC-online ABTS”
