Nigel Frame commenced work as a Lecturer in Radiation Therapy in October 2019 at the Wagga Wagga Campus.

Nigel graduated from the Queensland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Applied Science – Medical Radiations Technology – Radiation Therapy in 1994 and completed his PDY in Hobart at the W. P. Holman Clinic. He has worked as a clinical Radiation Therapist for more than 25 years and spent the year 2000 working in London as a Dosimetrist.

In addition to his Bachelor in Radiation Therapy he has a Bachelor of Health Management, a Bachelor of Arts, a Masters in Medical Radiation Sciences (Radiation Therapy), a Masters in Education (Adult Education and Training) and a Masters in Arts (Ancient History).

Nigel has interests in Advanced Imaging Techniques for Radiation Therapy, Management and Education Training in the Medical Radiation Sciences, History of Health Care and the role of Religion and Education in Health Promotion.

Radiation Therapy: Nigel brings his over 25 years as a clinical Radiation Therapist experience and expertise to his teaching in both the planning and treatment of cancer.

Radiation Safety: Nigel has been teaching radiation safety at Charles Sturt University for more than four years. He brings his knowledge of high energy radiation production and the resulting increasing demands of radiation protection to the education of students in this critical area of health and safety.

Oncology: Nigel brings his extensive knowledge of oncogenesis from his research to the Imaging Pathology subject to educate students on the epidemiology and aetiology of the disease.

Nigel is studying for a PhD in the role of religion in the suppression of cancer development. This combines his interests in Oncology, Immunology, Health Promotion and Religion.

He has Radiation Therapy research interests in Artificial Intelligence applications, Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy and in Imaging Technologies.
