At the School of Dentistry Charles Sturt University, Dr. Faisal Rehan holds the position of Lecturer in Clinical Dentistry in the Department of Dentistry and Health Sciences. His responsibilities include supervising undergraduate students in different clinical subjects, such as endodontics, fixed prosthodontics, Pedodontics and Periodontics. Also, he assists in Subject DOH 337 Foundation of dental clinical practice of the Bachelor of Dental Science program.

Faisal Rehan obtained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree in 2001, followed by extensive academic teaching and clinical practice experience in general dentistry, Periodontology, oral medicine, and endodontics.
Alongside, he completed a research postgraduate master's degree (MPhil) with an emphasis in Periodontology/ Oral Pathology in 2014. The above qualifications were all obtained at a Pakistani university that is fully accredited.

Dr. Faisal Rehan began demonstrating to dental students in 2002. His experience includes teaching in different capacities for more than 15 years, including Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, and Assistant Professor at an accredited university in Pakistan. At Baqai Dental College BMU, his main teaching responsibilities were teaching Bachelor levels of dentistry students, the theoretical content of dentistry subjects (Periodontics, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology and Endodontics) for bachelor students, and clinical supervision of bachelor students in integrated clinics.

He has tutoring experience of over 2 years at the School of Dentistry at CSU Orange, Australia. He supervises and helps undergraduate dentistry students at simulation clinics in different clinical subjects e.g. Endodontics, Fixed Pedodontics, Pedodontics and Periodontics. It also helps with paper checking and exam feedback.

Dr. Faisal's research focuses on the impact of herbal extract (or its active ingredient) on Gingival and Periodontal Inflammation and its Causative Organisms. He is particularly interested in PRF’s role in healing Periodontal Defects and increasing new bone formation, thus contributing to the enhancement of Gingival and Periodontal Health.
Throughout his academic career, Dr. Faisal has published 13 papers in National and International Journals. Dr Rehan’s contribution to the field of dental research has been consistently acknowledged by the increasing number of citations with a h-index 3 of his work in the works of other researchers.
