Kym Barry is a lecturer in Medical Radiation Sciences - Nuclear Medicine at the Port Macquarie campus. Since commencing in 2016, Kym has taught to students from all years and disciplines across the medical radiation sciences program. Kym is currently a PhD candidate and has over 17 years clinical experience in nuclear medicine in a variety of settings, including large and rural public hospitals, and private practices.

Kym Barry teaches to students across the medical radiation sciences program, including the nuclear medicine science subjects. Kym is involved with clinical coordination of nuclear medicine students across all years of the program.

Kym’s research interests include workplace learning, interprofessional learning, patient care and learning and teaching strategies. Kym is particularly interested in qualitative methods such as interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA) and exploring clinical placement experiences.
