Dr Clarence Da Cruz

Dr Clarence Da Cruz is a registered specialist periodontist trained at the University of Melbourne where he obtained his Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Periodontics. Dr Da Cruz also holds a Bachelor of Science majoring in Immunology and Microbiology from the Australian National University, a Bachelor of Dental Science from Charles Sturt University and Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (FRACDS) with awarded commendations for academic excellence in his primary examination. Dr Da Cruz was also recognised for excellence in clinical research of which he was awarded with The Australian New Zealand Academy of Periodontology (ANZAP) research medallion prize. Furthermore, Dr Da Cruz is a former Clinical Director, current Senior Lecturer and current subject co-ordinator at Charles Sturt University’s School of Dentistry and Medical Science. He is a member of ANZAP, Australian Society of Periodontology (ASP), Australasian Osseointegration Society (AOS), and The International Team for Implantology (ITI).

Dr Clarence Da Cruz has 10 years of dental clinical teaching experience supervising dental students both pre-clinically and clinically in regional and remote country areas. Dr Da Cruz’s current area of teaching is in periodontics, dental clinical practice and implant dentistry.

Dr Clarence Da Cruz has research interest in areas of clinical periodontics and genetic polymorphisms in relation to periodontal disease. Dr Da Cruz was awarded the Australian New Zealand Academy of Periodontology (ANZAP) research medallion prize for excellence in periodontal research.
