Caroline Nabasenja is a lecturer in Medical Imaging. She joined Charles Sturt University in 2019 at the Port Macquarie campus. Prior to this, she was a lecturer at the University of Namibia (Namibia) and practised diagnostic radiography in Namibia, South Africa and Uganda. Caroline graduated with a Bachelor of Science Medical Radiography a from Makerere University, Uganda, Bachelor of Technology (Diagnostic Radiography - Honours) and Master of Technology Radiography at Cape Peninsula University of Technology, South Africa.

Caroline’s current research interests are within radiation optimisation, teaching and learning in higher education, imaging individuals who are obese and has worked on collaborative research in artificial intelligence. In addition to teaching, she is a reviewer for the Journal of Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences. She is registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulatory Agency.

Prior to joining Higher education teaching in 2011, Caroline was involved in clinical supervision of radiography students. In academia, she has taught first through to final year students in radiography specific subjects as well as supervised students’ honour’s research projects. Some of the supervised students have published their work in peer reviewed journals.

Caroline has published peer reviewed work on a range of topics within medical radiation science with research interests in radiation optimisation, teaching and learning in higher education, imaging individuals who are obese. Currently, she is working on research on imaging individuals who are obese.
