Dr. Naung worked as a consultant specialist Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon at the internationally accredited hospitals in Myanmar practicing the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from General Dentistry and Oral surgery to Facial trauma reconstruction for 3 years before returning to CSU as a Senior Lecturer in Oral Surgery and Anatomy. Previously, Dr Naung worked at CSU as an Anatomy and Dentistry lecturer as well as at University of Otago as a medicine and dentistry tutor for 6 years. Dr. Noel Ye Naung received B.D.S degree from Myanmar, Higher Graduate Diploma and M.Sc (Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery) from Prince of Songkla University, Thailand as well as Ph.D. from University of Otago, New Zealand and Graduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education from Charles Sturt University, Australia. He then completed one year of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery International Fellowship at the University of Kentucky, U.S.A where he continues as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is a fellow of International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He has attended and presented at many international training seminars, conferences, and oral surgery training courses. He published scientific papers in international peer-reviewed journals such as Dental Clinic of North America, Craniomaxillofacial Trauma & Reconstruction, Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Journal of Oral Sciences, Journal of Oral Biology and Craniofacial Research. Dr. Naung provides didactic and clinical training to Year 3-4 dental student in the areas of Oral Surgery and General dental clinical practice. In addition, Dr. Naung teaches Applied Head and Neck Anatomy to Year 2 dental students. Dr Naung has interests in many areas especially the below.Dentistry
