Matilda graduated from Charles Sturt University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science. Since then, Matilda has worked as a demonstrator and academic for Chemistry and Physics and is currently an Associate Lecturer in Physics with a passion for astronomy and an involvement in all aspects of Physics teaching.

Matilda was also an integral part of the opening of The Rock Regional Observatory in February 2022.

Matilda is a member of the Australian Institute of Physics (AIP) and The Rock Regional Observatory committee who oversee the running of the Observatory at The Rock.

Matilda teaches into all Physics in the Bachelor of Science as well as service teaching into Medical Radiation Science and Medical Science in the area of Physics.

Matilda’s main teaching areas are in astronomy, quantum mechanics, and introductory Physics areas.
