An exciting part of the degree in Medicine involves on the job training through Work Integrated Learning (WIL).

To assist with the WIL journey, the following tabs contain important information and guides to ensure students are aware of their WIL requirements.

The following indicates your compulsory WIL components:

Doctor of Medicine (4921ME)

  • MED111 - Clinical Sciences 1 (138 hours)
  • MED211 - Clinical Sciences 2 (184 hours)
  • MED311 - Applied Clinical Sciences 1 (fulltime)
  • MED411 - Applied Clinical Sciences 2 (fulltime)
  • MED511 - Applied Clinical Sciences 3

It is mandatory as a Charles Sturt University student to obtain and maintain NSW Health and Charles Sturt University compliance requirements. The following information will assist in achieving student compliance.

NSW Health student compliance requirements - Mandatory

Due first year of study and no later than 1 June

  • Australian National Police Check
  • NSW Health Code of Conduct
  • Immunisations and Vaccinations
  • Influenza vaccination

NSW Health student compliance requirements - Highly  Recommended

  • COVID-19 vaccination

Once NSW Health student compliance requirements are obtained, email them to MLHD-ClinConnect@health.nsw.gov.au for processing. Please enter in the email subject line: CSU / Student ID / Student name / Discipline / Compliance.

Charles Sturt University WIL student compliance requirements

Due first year of study and no later than 1 June.

  • Mental Health First Aid
  • Working with Children Check

Information can be found on the Faculty of Science and Health Workplace Learning Brightspace site.  Charles Sturt University students and staff are required to self enrol to obtain access
