Dr Laura Hoffman works for the Faculty of Science and Health as an Academic Integrity Officer and as a Lecturer in Speech Pathology with a teaching and research focus for the School of Allied Health, Exercise and Sports Sciences. Laura has worked in various roles across the School and Faculty including leadership roles as a Course Director for the Speech Pathology (bachelor and masters) and Occupational Therapy courses within the school, Course Lead for the Bachelor of Speech and Language Pathology program, and as an Academic Integrity Officer for the Faculty. Laura is a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist and has worked clinically in a variety of settings across the lifespan, as well as working as a clinical educator. Laura teaches across a range of disciplines in allied health and interprofessional practice and within the speech pathology team.

Dr Hoffman is experienced in teaching both face to face and online. She has taught in the disciplines of allied health, interprofessional practice, and speech-language pathology over a rage of practice areas at the undergraduate and master’s level. Laura has been a recipient of excellence awards as well as learning and teaching grants at Charles Sturt University. She was recognised for teaching excellence when the Speech Pathology team won an inaugural 2021 Executive Dean’s Teaching Award for their work ‘Inspiring, motivating and supporting learning for students from diverse backgrounds through Australia’s first blended online Master of Speech Pathology’.

Dr Hoffman supervises HDR students completing honours and PhD projects.
