With a distinguished career spanning over fifteen years as a Paramedic with NSW Ambulance, Tara has exemplified unwavering commitment to providing critical prehospital care in challenging and diverse environments predominantly across coastal, regional and remote areas of NSW. Her journey is marked by a strong passion for emergency medicine in the prehospital care discipline and mentoring future Paramedics.

In more recent times Tara has found time to further enrich her knowledge and experience in paramedicine at CSU. She is committed to continuous learning and a desire to contribute to the advancement of paramedicine through teaching, mentorship and research. She aims to bridge the gap between theory and practical application, providing students with invaluable insights gained from her on-road experience.

Tara commenced as a Casual Academic with Charles Sturt University in 2023 at Bathurst Campus. With a newfound passion for educating Paramedic students, Tara commenced fulltime employment with CSU as an Associate Lecturer the same year.

Tara has several research interests that encompass paramedic well-being and resilience, with a focus on understanding and developing strategies to improve paramedic mental and emotional health. She is also passionate about First Nations health, aiming to address health disparities and promote culturally sensitive healthcare practices. These diverse interests drive her commitment to improving health care practices and education in regional Australia.
