Sean Mannix is a lecturer in Paramedicine with over 14 years of experience working as a Paramedic in NSW. Originally from Ireland, his early working life was in the Irish Defence forces; he subsequently relocated to Australia in 2009. As an undergraduate, he studied at Charles Sturt and has worked across NSW in metropolitan, regional, and remote stations. Sean has completed his Master's in Community Care Practitioner (Paramedicine) and Clinical Education. He has worked for CSU for the past 5 years as a casual academic. He has a keen passion for education, focusing on interprofessional communication and sub-acute skill sets.

I am primarily engaged in a teaching focused role as part of my initial contract with the school.

At this stage due to my teaching focus, I am unable to fully commit to any research-based projects, but I am greatly looking forward it getting into several areas of focus on teaching based simulation and communication in the clinical space.
