Lauren studied as a paramedic within Brisbane, before obtaining a position working on road with QAS as in ACPII, working the outer metropolitan region of Ipswich, covering both rural and metro work. Over the last five years, Lauren developed a strong passion for educating and guiding and mentoring students, cadets and graduates. Throughout Lauren’s career, she has moulded the way she approached patient care, often with calm decision-making, clear communication, with strong teamwork and a genuine compassion for both patients and their families.

Lauren is looking to complete a Grad Certificate in Education, before continuing onto a Masters.

Laurens research interests are mental health, in patients and the paramedic approach, as well paramedic PTSD prevention and cognitive resilience. She also has a strong interest in human factors in the pre-hospital realm.
