Bch Clinical Practice (Paramedic), MSc Paramedical Science (Critical Care) Chloe is an experienced Extended Care and Intensive Care Paramedic with NSW Ambulance and current Lecturer in Paramedicine with CSU. Chloe has worked for NSWA for eight years and has worked in both a regional and metropolitan setting most notably working as a Specialist Single Responder in Sydney’s South West during the Pandemic. Prior to working with NSWA she worked as an Emergency Response Officer in the Mining Industry and was trained in Underground Mine Rescue, Vertical Rescue, Open and Closed Breathing Apparatus and Wildfire Response. She completed her Bachelor of Clinical Practice (Paramedic) with CSU before completing a Masters of Paramedical Science with a Specialisation in Critical Care with ECU in 2018. That same year she became a member of the prestigious Golden Key Honours Society. Chloe is passionate about education and improving clinical practice, patient safety and culture among the new workforce. Chloe commenced as a Casual Academic with Charles Sturt University in 2017 at the Port Macquarie Campus. She partnered with an Associate Lecturer to deliver CLS202 – Life Span Health Issues. She also provided mentoring and tutoring on a one-to-one basis to First Nations Students. In 2023 she commenced fulltime employment with CSU as a Lecturer in Paramedicine and is the Subject Co-ordinator for both BMS317 and CLS205 and is also the Subject Convenor for APS503 in the Post Graduate space. Chloe has a profound interest in the disparities that exist between the regional and metropolitan paramedic workforce. During her Masters Degree she had a profound interest in the key factors that influence the poor reportable levels of health and wellbeing amongst the paramedic cohort and the different needs of the workforce by geographical positioning. She hopes to further this interest into a PhD in the future to assist in the foundation and implementation of targeted strategies to improve paramedic health and wellbeing. .
