B App Sci (OT) Rebecca is an AHPRA‑registered Occupational Therapist with 19 years of experience working across acute care, rehabilitation, community health, disability, aged care, and paediatrics. She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) from the University of Sydney and has additional qualifications in Lymphoedema Therapy and OT Driving Assessment. Rebecca has worked in many settings, including ICU, Emergency, neurology, oncology, lymphoedema management, NDIS, palliative care, and Equine Assisted Therapy. She is committed to evidence‑based practice and has collaborated with the Agency for Clinical Innovation (ACI) to develop statewide clinical resources, also serving as Executive Co‑Chair of the ACI Aged Care Clinical Network. Rebecca is passionate about education, teamwork, and supporting the next generation of occupational therapists. Rebecca has extensive teaching experience in the delivery of workshops and tutorials focused on work-integrated learning, as well as facilitating interprofessional learning opportunities for students across the Allied Health, Medicine, and Nursing disciplines. She also contributes to the teaching of practical subjects related to equipment prescription and home modifications, drawing on her clinical expertise to enrich course content and foster meaningful discussion. In addition, Rebecca has significant experience supervising Occupational Therapy students during clinical placements. She is passionate about supporting student learning and professional development and has provided education and guidance to clinical supervisors to enhance their capacity to effectively support Occupational Therapy students and optimise learning outcomes within clinical practice settings. Rebecca's research interests focus on strengthening rural and remote health services through education, workforce development, and innovative models of practice. Her work explores the role of work-integrated learning in preparing allied health students for contemporary practice, with a particular interest in how high-quality placement experiences can support recruitment and retention within rural and remote communities. She is also interested in strategies to build and sustain a skilled allied health workforce, including clinical supervision, interprofessional learning, and workforce capability initiatives that enhance service delivery and improve health outcomes for rural populations. Rebecca has supported students on their research journeys, and participated in a research team completing scoping reviews surrounding health related place based research in Australia.
