Profile

Alison is an Occupational Therapist with extensive clinical experience in remote and regional Australia, England and Bhutan.  Alison has worked across a range of caseloads however much of her experience has been in the paediatric setting where roles have included; Department of Education (Northern Territory) where she worked with a multidisciplinary team providing support to children and teachers across the Northern Territory and most recently, with Royal Far Wests’ Community Recovery Team, providing services to children, schools and families impacted by the 2019/2020 Bushfires.

In these roles she has provided clinical supervision to occupational therapists and contributed to a range of quality improvement projects.  She is interested in the role of occupational therapists in schools and the impact of trauma on child development.

Alison is originally from Kempsey and is excited to be supporting rural occupational therapists to study locally.
