Alexander is a Lecturer in Clinical Exercise Physiology at CSU. Holding degrees in both Master’s in Clinical Exercise Physiology from CSU and a Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education and Management from UTS. Alexander’s academic and professional background has spanned several years consisting of clinical experience in various pathology domains and teaching in Exercise Science and Clinical Exercise Physiology.

Alexander is committed to enhancing evidence-based practice across multiple condition domains, improving clinical decision-making, patient outcomes, and rehabilitation efficacy. His work also emphasises diabetes education and management, strongly focusing on patient-centred care, including advancements in self-management strategies, and developing evidence-driven approaches to empower individuals living with diabetes.

Alexander is an active member and an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, and Accredited Exercise Scientist with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA), and a Credentialled Diabetes Educator with the Australian Diabetes Educators Association

Alex’s primary teaching areas include:

  • Pathomechanics   and Exercise Prescription
  • Developing   the Clinical Exercise Practitioner

Alexander’s research interests include diabetes education and management, emphasising patient-centred care and evidence-based practice interventions to optimise self-management. He is also interested in exploring and advancing pedagogical strategies that enrich student learning experiences and improve academic and clinical outcomes.
