Quality Assurance

The production of quality data is of paramount importance to the team of professionally minded and skilled analytical staff.

Laboratory The use of certified reference materials and compliance to rigid quality controls within the quality assurance system ensures accurate and reliable results. All laboratory procedures include comprehensive protocols to monitor and control every aspect of a sample's movement from receipt to report.

All methods are sourced from the current editions of APHA 'Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater', 'Soil Chemical Methods-Australasia'; Rayment/Lyons or other internationally recognised methodologies such as AOAC and USEPA. These methods satisfy the requirements of NSW EPA Approved Methods.

To ensure a high level of quality is maintained, the EAL regularly participates in a wide variety of water and soil proficiency testing programs for chemical and microbiological tests, from recognised providers such as APLAC, Global Proficiency and Proficiency Testing Australia.

The laboratories hold nationally recognised accreditations with the National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) and certifications with the Australian Soil and Plant Analysis Council (ASPAC). The laboratory is operated under a quality management system in compliance with the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025

Confidentiality and security of samples and data is a very important part of our quality system. Analytical results and reports will not be released or discussed to third parties without the consent of the customer (unless compelled by law).
