With more than twenty years’ experience working in health and higher education, Kerryn is known for her passion and dedication to the fields of digital health and to digital pedagogy. Kerryn has strong experience in industry partnerships, with over $9M in research funding, including the Global Specialist Digital Health Workforce Census and the Global Atlas of Literacies for Health (GALH), and over 200 research outputs. She is the co-chair of the Scholarship of Leading, International Society for the Scholarship of Learning and Teaching, Editor for the Journal of Applied Learning and Teaching, and Deputy Editor of the BMJ Health and Care Informatics journal. As a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Digital Health, Kerryn was recognised as a 2021 HIMSS Future50 Health IT Leader and 2022 Telstra Health Brilliant Women of Digital Health. An advocate for female leadership in higher education, Kerryn is well known for her collaborative and compassionate leadership style.

Kerryn is an internationally recognised research leader in digital health workforce and capabilities, leading several international projects and publishing extensively on the topic. Kerryn is the co-chair of the Global Specialist Digital Health Workforce Census and lead the development of the Global Atlas of Literacies for Health (GALH), which was part of a 11 country consortium, IDEAHL, funded by Horizon Europe.

Kerryn is also recognised for her leadership in the Scholarship of Learning and Teaching, with a focus on digital pedagogies. She is a co-author on the second most cited paper about COVID and higher education and leads several projects examining the use of technology in health professional education. She brings together her two passions by leading a higher education workforce agenda to upskill health academics in digital health to facilitate the capability development of our future health workforce.

Kerryn is a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Digital Health (AIDH) and a Certified Health Informatician Australasia (CHIA). She is a member of the International Society for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (ISSoTL) and is the co-chair of the ISSoTL Scholarship of Leading interest group.
