After studying for her Bachelor of Nursing degree with CSU in Bathurst, Louise completed her New Graduate year at the Canberra Hospital before moving to Orange to study for her Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing.  She then moved on to the Critical Care Unit at the Orange Health Service.  During her seven years there, she completed a Graduate Certificate in Critical Care Nursing and worked as a Clinical Nurse Specialist and Clinical Nurse Educator. Her keen interest in education also led to her casual teaching positions with CSU in Bathurst and the College of Nursing. In June 2008, Louise commenced a fulltime position as a Lecturer with the School of Nursing Midwifery and Indigenous Health at CSU's Bathurst campus.  She completed her Master of Nursing with CSU in 2010. Her research topic was Intensive Care Delirium. Her main teaching focus has been on the Bachelor of Nursing's second year acute care subjects, and she was involved in the development of the new Bachelor of Nursing curriculum in 2013.  She has a keen interest in the development and provision of a quality online teaching materials.  Since 2008, Louise has also continued to work in the critical care and emergency nursing on a casual basis.
