Nnamdi joined CSU in January 2023 with eleven years clinical experience as a physiotherapist. Nnamdi has worked in both private and public healthcare settings both in Nigeria and Australia, with greater experience in acute surgical care and rehabilitation. He completed his bachelors’ and masters’ (cardiorespiratory-focused) degrees at the University of Nigeria and University of Lagos, respectively, both in Nigeria.

Nnamdi completed his PhD studies in the discipline of physiotherapy at James Cook University (JCU), Townsville in 2022. His PhD study investigated the prediction of lung function and health-related quality of life using handgrip strength in cardiac surgical patients. During his PhD studies, Nnamdi was awarded the International Postgraduate Student of the Year in 2021 and the second place at “My Research Rules” competition at the Division of Tropical Health and Medicine, JCU.

Nnamdi is also passionate about mentoring and teaching students to become outstanding physiotherapists with excellence in character and learning.

Nnamdi has interest in the health-related quality of life and functional recovery of cardiac and respiratory surgical patients, as well as chronic health conditions among first nations people.
