Tracey is an occupational therapist with extensive experience in the field of adult rehabilitation.  Tracey's rural upbringing influenced her initial decision to base her clinical practice in a regional setting where she has continued to practice and teach since graduating. Tracey's clinical experience includes both hospital and community-based rehabilitation as well as occupational/vocational rehabilitation.  Tracey has been involved in the CSU Occupational Therapy undergraduate program in various roles since 1998.  She re-joined the program in a permanent role in 2017.

RESEARCH

Tracey is interested in a range of research topics including occupational decision-making, facilitating person-centered goal setting in rehabilitation, and understanding the development of evidence-based practice skills.

At present Tracey is working with a team of colleagues to develop a proposal to explore the perspectives of Workplace Learning Supervisors in relation to their perceived role with students in the development of the skills, knowledge and attitudes necessary to become an evidence-based practitioner.

Tracey is interested in exploring in more detail one of the findings from her PhD research that relates to the concept of occupational decision-making.  She is also interested in working with local rehabilitation services to investigate strategies to facilitate person-centered goal setting.
