Rhianna graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Applied Science with an Extended Major in Veterinary Technology. Post graduation Rhianna worked as an Animal Technician at the Queensland Brain Institute and a Veterinary Technician for Greencross Vets. During this time Rhianna completed her Certificate IV in Tertiary and Adult Education.

Having grown up in Central Queensland, Rhianna displays a keen interest in Equine health and wellbeing, this fuelling her completion of the Bachelor of Equine Science Program at the University of Queensland.

After moving back home to Central Queensland, Rhianna worked in a rural clinical veterinary practice before becoming a member of the CQUniversity’s simulation team. This introduction to simulation opened new academic pathways seeking further education through Monash University’s Graduate Certificate in Clinical Simulation program.

Rhianna’s interests encompass the use of simulation within veterinary teaching environments to finetune and develop foundational skills, producing high quality work-ready graduates.

During her time at Greencross Vets and working in rural Central Queensland, Rhianna mentored several Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing students. Rhianna has also worked at CQUniversity Australia for three years within their clinical learning environments finetuning the use of simulation within teaching healthcare professionals.
