Profile

After graduating from the University of Queensland in 2010, Suff completed a small animal surgery internship at the Melbourne Veterinary Specialist Centre. Subsequently, he worked as a primary care and shelter medicine veterinarian at the RSPCA and Lost Dogs' Home. Over the following decade, he played integral roles in animal welfare regulation, contributing clinical and investigative expertise to organizations including RSPCA Victoria, Greyhound Racing Victoria, and Animal Welfare Victoria.

In addition to his clinical and regulatory work, Suff has taken on leadership roles as a Non-Executive Director, Senior Veterinarian, and Business Manager at a prominent referral hospital in Melbourne. His interests span animal welfare, forensic medicine, small animal surgery, and professional (non-technical) skills.

Passionate about shaping the future of the veterinary profession, Suff is actively engaged with various organizations, including serving as an Executive member in the Victorian Division of the Australian Veterinary Association, the Animal Welfare and Ethics group, and the Australian Rainbow Vets and Allies (ARVA). Suff is also a founding Executive member of The Veterinary Kaleidoscope, dedicated to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the profession.

Suff is thrilled to join CSU Vet School as a Lecturer, where he aims to nurture future leaders and cultivate a positive culture of excellence in veterinary practice.
