After graduating from the University of Sydney, Randi worked in general practice for over 20 years and successfully operated her own clinic in the Hawkesbury region for 10 years.

Randi has always had a professional interest and passion for surgery in all species. She completed her PhD in Small Animal Orthopedic Surgery in 2017 (a biomechanical study in one style of locking plate and investigations into the bone blood supply associated with locking plates.)

Randi is actively involved in research projects and undergraduate teaching.

The main teaching commitments involve surgical topics such as spey clinic, surgery workshops, lectures and clinical surgical commitments but she also teaches into some PBL subjects and other areas.
