Natalie Hock

BVSc

Lecturer in Small Animal Veterinary Practice
Wagga Wagga
Building 229, Room 230

Having graduated in 2013 from the University of Queensland Natalie has spent the last ten years of her career in private mixed veterinary practice. She worked for seven years at Piper Street Veterinary Clinic in Tamworth where she developed a passion for small animal dentistry. Her other special interests include small animal medicine and ophthalmology.

Following relocation to Wagga Wagga in 2020 she took up a position at Moorong Veterinary Clinic for the past three years.

Natalie is excited to transition into her role as a Lecturer at Charles Sturt University and is keen to inspire learning of future generations of veterinarians and help them to prepare for their career pathways in veterinary science.

Natalie is part of the small animal group of the Veterinary Science degree; teaching clinical and communication skills to fourth year veterinary science students as well as supervising spey/neuter clinic surgeries, an exciting opportunity for students to perform live desexing surgery on canine and feline patients. She is also involved in teaching small animal dentistry and ophthalmology to fifth year students as well as supervising final year students on their small animal clinical rotation at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital.

She is excited to bring her clinical experience to her teaching practices and help students develop a practical approach to their learning.
