After graduating from veterinary school at Oklahoma State University (USA) in 2021, Alex completed a comparative theriogenology internship and residency at OSU, becoming a diplomate of the American College of Theriogenology in 2024. She is also completing a masters degree in Comparative Biomedical Sciences.

After leaving Oklahoma State, Alex worked in the UK in private practice for a thoroughbred breeding season before coming to CSU as a Senior Lecturer in Theriogenology.

Alex enjoys all aspects of academia, including clinical work, teaching, and research. She also has a keen interest in acupuncture and rural veterinary outreach and education.

Alex’s research focuses on veterinary student education in clinical settings and the equine uterine microbiome.
