Prior to becoming a veterinarian, Alex worked in a health and welfare policy advisory role for the Australian wool industry. Since completing veterinary science at CSU, Alex has spent the past five years working at a local mixed practice and enjoyed the variety of work that general practice offers. During this time, Alex has done further study in small animal emergency medicine and critical care and is passionate about improving client education in the care of geriatric animals.

In a clinic setting, Alex has enjoyed spending time with students and nurturing new graduates. In her new role at CSU, she looks forward to working with students in their final years.

Alex is part of the small animal team teaching into the 4th, 5th and 6th year of veterinary science. She mentors students in final year on their companion animal clinical rotation, is a tutor for spey clinic and teaches dermatology and behaviour.
