Wagga Wagga
Building 286 Room 104

Sosheel serves as a Lecturer with the School of Agricultural and Wine Sciences at Charles Sturt University (CSU) Wagga Wagga, since having earned his PhD at CSU in 2016. Prior to that, during his studies, he worked as a casual Lecturer.

His PhD research provided the first detailed value-chain analysis of the Pakistani dairy industry. This included understanding the complex set of economic and social relationships that enable milk to be transferred from a large number of small-scale farmers to urban consumers. The research exploded several myths surrounding the industry and highlighted opportunities for the development of policy to improve its operations and the wellbeing of all involved. Most of the results are now published in refereed journals.

Prior to commencing his doctoral studies, Sosheel worked for 11 years in the development sectors in both Pakistan and UK. His experience in Pakistan included four years of service with the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) where he successfully coordinated the implementation of the first phase of the Australia-Pakistan Agriculture Sector Linkages Program (ASLP).
