Lakmini (aka Lucky) graduated from Charles Sturt University in 2013 and worked in small animal practice in the south coast of NSW for 5 years. Following that, she undertook an anatomic pathology residency at the University of Sydney, and then returned back to Wagga Wagga in 2021.  Prior to her veterinary career, she studied chemistry and was a researcher at the University of New South Wales.  Currently at CSU, she undertakes teaching and diagnostics in pathology in the veterinary school.

Lakmini has been teaching veterinary pathology, histology and introductory veterinary topics since 2018 at University of Sydney and now at CSU.  She has also previously taught chemistry for 2 years at Yale University.

Lakmini’s research and pathology interests include brachycephalic obstructive airway syndrome, koalas and all things feline.  Her current research relates to descriptive anatomic pathology and morphometrics.
