Chris is a Senior Lecturer in Veterinary Anaesthesia and leader of the Anaesthesia Team at the School of Agricultural, Environmental and Veterinary Sciences, Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga NSW.

Chris is a specialist veterinary anaesthetist (registered with the NSW Veterinary Practitioners Board) with speciality qualifications from both European and American Colleges of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia. In addition he has obtained Membership of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in both Medicine of Horses and Veterinary Anaesthesia and Critical Care. Chris is an examiner for the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists

His work at CSU includes teaching, research and clinical practice in both equine and small animal hospitals.

Chris teaches veterinary anaesthesia and critical care to undergraduate and post graduate veterinary students and veterinary technician students.

Research and clinical interests include peri-operative renal function and kidney injury, anaesthesia and critical care of horses and other large herbivores.

Current research includes developing methods for minimising hypotension and preventing acute kidney injury (AKI) in animals undergoing surgery and anaesthesia.
