Haley is a qualified and professionally registered paramedic, nurse & midwife with experience in both rural and metropolitan areas. Haley is a dually qualified Extended Care (ECP) and Intensive Care Paramedic (ICP) and a team member of AUSMAT (Australian Medical Assistance Teams).

Haley has had varied clinical nursing & midwifery experience. She has worked in a wide variety of nursing settings and across the scope of midwifery in both high-risk hospital settings and in planned home birth models. Haley is also an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) working in private practice.

Haley has a passion for incorporating her passion and love for Paramedicine and midwifery, opening paramedics to new perspectives in supporting normal birth physiology and maternal emergencies.

Haley has taught within Paramedicine programs with varying universities and transitioned across to Charles Sturt University in 2021. Haley lectures predominately in the post graduate space within the Masters of Paramedicine and Graduate Diploma of Clinical Practice (Paramedicine).

Haley is currently teaching Populations with Special Needs (APS403) & Paramedic Intensive Care for Paediatrics (PHC401).

Haley’s varied research interests include paramedic preparedness attending pre-hospital births, how to improve women’s experiences giving birth in paramedic care and newborn resuscitation.
