Tameeka is a lecturer in the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Indigenous Health and completed her Bachelor of Nursing through CSU in 2006. Tameeka then completed her Postgraduate Diploma of Midwifery at CSU, working in all areas of midwifery including antenatal care, birthing suite, postnatal care, special care nursery, outreach/domiciliary and antenatal education. In 2016 Tameeka obtained a Postgraduate Prescribing for Midwives qualification and then in 2019 completed her Master of Midwifery with Distinction. During this time Tameeka has worked in many setting including Emergency, Intensive Care, Surgical, Palliative Care, Maternity, Clinical Nurse Educator and Practice Nurse.

Tameeka continues to work as an on-call Midwife and antenatal educator in a rural setting, as well as a Practice Nurse whilst lecturing into the School of Nursing, Midwifery & Indigenous Health at CSU which she joined in 2015.

Currently teaching primary into the Graduate Diploma of Midwifery but also teaches into Nursing.
