Nursing (Emergency and Critical Care) - enrolled Sharyn has been an emergency nurse for 22 years since graduating from Newcastle University, working in various settings including overseas. During that time she also qualified as a lawyer, and practised in the area of criminal defence. She has been a staff member of Charles Sturt in varying capacities since 2013, including being the course director for the law degree, before moving back to the School of Nursing this year. She is passionate about research and has presented at several social justice conferences, as well as actively participated in law reform, particularly for victims rights. Sharyn commenced involvement with the nursing school with law and ethics. She now teaches a variety of subjects, including intensive (residential) schools. She is based at the Bathurst Campus. Sharyn is currently employed in a teaching only position and is part way through both a Masters of Nursing and a PhD in Law.Nursing
