Mathew has graduated with a Bachelor of Nursing in 2018 and graduated with a Master of Nursing specialising in Leadership and Management in 2023. Mathew continues to work clinically and has experience in a range of clinical settings including acute and critical care settings.

Mathew is a highly respected academic lecturer teaching into the Bachelor of Nursing at Charles Sturt University. Mathew is passionate about clinical education and strives towards academic excellence and advances in nursing practice. With a strong passion and commitment to enhance the nursing profession, Mathew continues to advance as a leader across clinical and teaching specialities.

Mathew currently teaches into the Bachelor of Nursing with Charles Sturt University across a range of cohorts. Mathew is a respected clinician within the public health sector and has experience assisting new graduate nurses transition to professional practice.

Mathew holds interests in teaching surrounding:

- Clinical leadership and teamwork

- Simulation in Nursing

- Evidence based practice principles

- Clinical reasoning

- Detection and management of the deteriorating patient

Mathew’s interests are focused on undergraduate student experience and transition to professional practice. As an emerging academic – Mathew plans to further into a pilot project surrounding undergraduate clinical education for PhD study in the future.
