Madeleine has extensive experience in both metropolitan and rural emergency and intensive care nursing with a passion for mentoring, precepting and facilitating education in a clinical and academic setting to the undergraduate and post-graduate nursing student. Madeleine's clinical experience includes senior leadership in a level one trauma hospital as a Clinical Nurse Specialist, as well as implementing and co-writing hospital-wide Covid-19 protocols for the use of oxygen therapies among Covid-19 at-risk patients. Madeleine holds a Bachelor of Health Science (Nursing) and postgraduate qualification in Critical Care Nursing Practice (Emergency and Intensive Care). Madeleine joined CSU in 2021 as a Lecturer in Nursing in the school of Nursing, Paramedicine and Health Science. Madeleine's passions are simulation-based education and promoting the values of: ‘every patient, every time’, patient-centred care, patient advocacy and the importance of self-care in the nursing profession – both professionally and academically.
