Dip of Applied Science (Nursing), Cert IV Training and Assessment, Grad Cert in Mental Health Kathy has been a Registered Nurse since 1989 with clinical experience across Oncology, Palliative care, Medical, Surgical, Emergency, Community Health, Integrated Care, COVID Care in the Community, Paediatrics and Mental Health. Kathy has worked in a variety of settings including metropolitan, Interstate, rural and remote and in the UK. Kathy is passionate about nursing education and is empowered by seeing and working with previous students in the clinical environment. Kathy enjoys teaching bioscience to nursing students and is currently undertaking a Master of Neuroscience. Kathy was involved in the WNSW Health Awards (Value Based health care) for the EDC initiative in 2022 and the WNSW Health Integrated Care Team of the year award. Kathy has presented at the WNSW Health awards in 2022 and MHS conference in 2023. Kathy has worked in the roles of Clinical Facilitator and Clinical Educator in NSW Health and Aged Care and has worked in tertiary education roles since 2007. Kathy commenced work at CSU in 2014 as a sessional educator and has recently taken on a full-time role with the University. Kathy has previous experience in teaching Aged Care, Diploma of Nursing (EEN), and Health Service Assistants (AIN) courses and currently teaches across first, second- and third-year subjects at CSU in the Bachelor of Nursing program.Nursing
