Dr Ashraf Shaweesh graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Jordan University of Science & Technology (JUST) in 1999. Then, he had worked as a Clinical Dental Officer at JUST for 2 years before undertaking a PhD in Basic Oral Sciences at The University of Melbourne - Australia, which he completed in 2006. Ashraf returned back to JUST in 2006 to work as an Assistant Professor in Oral Sciences and Oral Diagnosis. In 2012 he was promoted to an Associate Professor in the same field and had been the Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at JUST for 3 years. In October 2015, Ashraf returned to Australia on one-year sabbatical from JUST to work as Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne. Ashraf commenced his new appointment at CSU in January 2017. With over 10 years of academic expertise, Ashraf has supervised and examined dozens of postgraduate theses and authored over 20 peer-reviewed scientific papers published in high impact Journals.
